Involve Fans in Self-Improvement Goals

Involve Fans in Self-Improvement Goals

These days, more than ever, people are taking big steps to improve themselves. Whether it’s embarking on a fitness journey, investing in an educational undertaking or even just vowing to finally master that recipe you’ve been dying to try, everyone has a goal they’d like to explore.

The weight of everything that 2020 has thrown at us has created a huge disruption in all of our daily lives, and one of the ways that we can regain control is by setting goals for ourselves.

When you invite your fans along on your workouts you can also ask for donations for essentials such as exercise gear, nutrition, even gym memberships.

While embarking on a self-improvement journey sounds like a great way to pass lockdown time, reaching those goals can be more difficult than you think. Just because we have the time, doesn’t mean we always have the motivation. Mental health plays a big part in our willingness and ability to achieve our goals, and without proper support, it can be tough to go it alone.

But the good news is that, as an influencer, you have a major cheerleading squad at your disposal! Not only is this a great motivator, but sharing your goals with your fans is an excellent way to engage your fan base at the same time.

Help Your Fans Help You

When you’re an influencer, it’s easy to think that fans are only after one thing, but the truth is your fans are following you for more than you think. Sure they want to see your content, but they also want to know you as a person. Being a part of your everyday life helps them feel connected to you, which is much more valuable than just a video or photoset. There’s an intimacy to the influencer/fan relationship, and that’s the part you need to nurture. Fans can access adult content in a million different ways, so you need to be sure to show them what sets you apart from the masses.

Sharing a goal that is important to you invites them into your life and embraces that intimate connection that is so vital to maintaining your fanbase. Plus, when fans are just as invested in your success as you are, it gives you that extra added incentive to succeed. There’s an excellent reason why your lifestyle should be an important part of your brand; fans want to follow someone that they can support and get behind. Allowing them to go on a self-improvement journey with you is a great way to boost their loyalty and strengthen that connection.

Give Fans a Goal, Too

As an influencer, your motivation to earn and keep fans is more than just to get likes on a post, it’s literally your livelihood. In order to keep providing the content they want to see, your fans need to support you. By including your fans in a personal journey you can involve them even further by encouraging them to invest in your success. In doing so you can, in return, provide content related to your progress that they will love to see!

Let’s say your goal is to run a 5K race after training for three months. When you invite your fans along on your workouts (and we all know workouts are hot!), you can also ask for donations for essentials such as exercise gear, nutrition, even gym memberships (an Amazon wishlist is great for sharing what you need!). As a thank you, a hot and heavy post-workout show is always a nice reward.

Create Buzz to Attract New Fans

Another perk to sharing a goal is that you can use it as a line to lure in more fans — and the more unique the goal, the more interested they’re going to be! Want to learn to ride a skateboard, become a rock climber or do a solo skydive? Tell your fans! People don’t like missing out on trends, so if you consistently post your progress and get a buzz going, more fans will be naturally curious and want to hop on the bandwagon. That will translate into more sales and more support for you and your journey.

In the End, It's All About You

While bonding with your fans and earning even more financial support is a great reason to undertake a goal, be sure that at the end of the day your focus is on you. Think about how reaching your goal will ultimately benefit you and push your life in a positive direction. So don’t be afraid to start! Choose your own unique journey and take that first step. It will be a lot more fun with your fan base cheering you on!
