Q&A: Agatha Vega Reigns as XBIZ Europas Best New Performer

Q&A: Agatha Vega Reigns as XBIZ Europas Best New Performer

Spanish adult starlet Agatha Vega is as sunshine-bright and warmly inviting as her blissful hometown in Tenerife, where she enjoys beachside fun in the grandest Canary Islands territory.

In her first year as a pro performer, she captured hearts and minds across more than 40 titles for the likes of Blacked, Brazzers, Jules Jordan, LetsDoeIt, Dorcel, MetArt, Tushy and Vixen. Straddling a glamcore vibrancy and a girl-next-door realness, Vega aims to appeal as much to the indie crowd as to the discerning porn connoisseur.

I feel I can be myself fully, without feeling ashamed of my sexuality, since I know everyone in this business loves sex as much as me. I love it.

She then won the highly-coveted Best New Performer honor at the 2021 XBIZ Europas, taking home the gold as Europe’s best newcomer.

With a fan base numbering 80,000 on Twitter and more than 130,000 on Instagram, Vega is well-positioned to capitalize on the industry's plethora of opportunities.

Though busy traveling for studio shoots and producing her own content, the fast-rising star took time out to reflect on her life’s unique journey from posting scantily-clad photos for fun to being enticed by the prospects of a long-term career as pro talent for the esteemed Julmodels agency, and to open up about her career and aspirations, in this exclusive interview.

XBIZ: What inspired you to enter the adult industry?

VEGA: I never imagined I would end up working as an adult actress, ever, but I actually should have seen it coming. That’s because sex has been a really important part of my daily life for as long as I can remember.

I have always watched porn and really enjoyed touching myself. So basically, what inspired me to become an adult actress was the feeling of pure pleasure that cumming brings me, as well as the joy of making other people cum by fulfilling their fantasies.

XBIZ: Discuss how you have evolved as a performer over the past year, after shooting for a variety of studios. What valuable lessons and experiences have you gained?

VEGA: This year was truly amazing. I met so many incredible people and I traveled more than I ever have in my entire life, having so many great experiences along the way that surpass anything I could have asked for in my wildest dreams.

Also, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being able to live out almost all of my innermost sexual fantasies and first-time experiences. I feel I can be myself fully, without feeling ashamed of my sexuality, since I know everyone in this business loves sex as much as me. I love it.

And everyone has been really professional with me, while teaching me a lot about the industry and sex. I hope I can continue working for them, so we can do even more great content.

XBIZ: Tell us about the talent agency you work with and how they have helped to shape your career.

VEGA: Since the very beginning of my adult industry career, Julmodels has been great to me. I was afforded some truly amazing opportunities to shoot and pursue work in countries all around the world. So I definitely recommend Julmodels for anyone hoping to become a performer.

XBIZ: How do you balance your time and effort between your own independent content on platforms like OnlyFans, and traditional studio shoots?

VEGA: My independent content is really amateur and personal, so it’s just basically me doing whatever I feel like. I often include videos of me while I travel, or I record behind-the-scenes footage of myself backstage before a professional shoot.

I think my fans like this kind of real intimacy when it comes to my own video content, so I don’t spend too much time trying to organize it all or get too specific when posting on my OnlyFans.

XBIZ: Share your social media strategies for growing a fan following on Instagram and Twitter.

VEGA: I love to share my naughty side with my fans on social media whenever the mood strikes me. I show them what they want to see, like how much I’m enjoying myself during sex or just being casual around the house. So my strategy is just to keep posting naughty but sweet things that make them keep asking for more.

XBIZ: How often do you travel for shoots and what challenges have you overcome, given the pandemic restrictions over the past year?

VEGA: It depends, because some months I travel more than others, but I never spend too much time in my house in Tenerife, Spain, haha. I will say that it’s been great to travel this past year, even with the COVID-19 restrictions.

I remember how fun it was to be entirely alone on the airplane. Now, though, everybody seems to be traveling again and everything is getting more relaxed in the airports, which is also a pleasant experience.

XBIZ: Tell us what kind of content your fans love the most, based on their feedback and purchases.

VEGA: They really love when I play with my ass and when I talk dirty to them, so those are the most frequently requested kinds of videos I release right now. And I really love to do them! I’m trying to speak more in my content overall, even if I feel a little bit shy about it sometimes, haha.

XBIZ: What was it like winning 2021 XBIZ Best New Performer at the Europa Awards?

VEGA: I didn’t expect to win this award, but I feel especially grateful for all the people who voted for me, because they helped me win and I appreciated it a lot. I’m glad they think I’m the best new performer of 2021!

XBIZ: Give us a glimpse of your life outside of the industry. What are your hobbies and passions?

VEGA: I have a pretty calm life when I’m not working, to be honest. I like to just relax at home or spend quality time with my family. As far as my hobbies are concerned, I love the beach and the sea. Because I live close to the beach, I often go there for swimming and snorkeling. I love watching movies too and I dance every day if it’s possible, haha.

XBIZ: Any big goals you hope to accomplish in the next year?

VEGA: Yes, I have many personal goals for this year and one of them is to give the very best of me while shooting new scenes. I want to try and win Female Performer of the Year and be nominated for more awards overall!
