Q&A: Addi Lee Blooms With Roses and Romance

Q&A: Addi Lee Blooms With Roses and Romance

Cam model and content creator Addi Lee first joined the adult industry in 2016, but even before then, she became fascinated with the market from the perspective of a fan.

“I guess you can say I started out as a consumer on adult webcam sites,” she shared. “I was always curious about the adult industry even when I was younger. I loved watching ‘The Girls Next Door’ and even had a Playboy sign hanging in my bedroom in high school.”

Seeing how patience, hard work and dedication can get you where you want to be is so rewarding.

Coming from a small town, however, Lee didn’t know if she could make that kind of life a reality or if it was even possible.

“Then, when I stumbled on webcamming, I found it fascinating,” she noted.

“I saw all these gorgeous women having fun, making money and interacting with others online. I fell in love with the concept right away, and I signed up the next day without giving it a second thought.”

Since taking the plunge, Lee has begun truly manifesting her dreams, with a growing following of more than 100,000 on social media, a legion of OnlyFans admirers and tens of thousands of token-wielding viewers on MyFreeCams and MFCShare.

Now, bring out the bouquet of roses and heart-shaped chocolates to romance our Cam Star of the Month, as she opens up for this exclusive, intimate interview.

XBIZ: In what ways have your cam shows improved over the years?

Lee: My cam shows have dramatically improved over time, not only with the way I portray myself as a performer but also with the equipment I use to give a better quality experience. I know not everyone can afford expensive equipment, especially when they’re first starting out, but I noticed a major difference in my shows when I upgraded my webcam, microphone, etc.

I feel when fans see you put in the extra attention to things that truly benefit their viewing pleasure, they will want to spend more time with you and contribute to your shows. Another thing I improved on was focusing on things that I enjoyed doing the most. When I’m enjoying myself live, I know it shows and viewers eat that up and crave more of it. They want to see you doing what you love.

XBIZ: What is your typical camming schedule and how do you stay organized?

Lee: My livestreaming schedule has been consistent over the past few years. I’m normally an afternoon/early evening cam model. I live on the East Coast so my time zone is perfect to gain access to fans who are overseas and the early birds on the West Coast. This year I plan to do a lot more evening streams along with my normal streaming times. I want to be able to expand myself to new viewers who may not have been able to catch my shows before.

Staying organized is important in this industry. My best way to stay organized is with lists. I love using pen and paper for all my lists — the Notes app doesn’t cut it for me. I usually do lists for each month and then do a daily list every morning when I drink my coffee to know exactly what my goals are and what I want to accomplish for that particular day. I find it helps me to stay on track and not lose focus throughout the day. I’ve wasted too many days without a game plan and then at the end of the day, nothing was really accomplished. Lists are key!

XBIZ: How do you maximize a busy day on cam and how do you power through a slow day?

Lee: When I’m having a great day on cam I’ve found that it’s beneficial to do everything you can to keep the momentum going. Let’s say I only planned on being online for a few hours and things are going well. Then I will extend my time online, especially if goals are being reached quickly and the room is having fun. On the other hand, when it’s a slow day, I always try to give it at least an hour before I decide what my next move is. Sometimes, the room will pick up later and then I could’ve potentially missed out on that good day if I had logged off too soon. Another thing I like to do is offer incentives to new tippers or a flash deal on videos/photosets to get the room flowing again. Everyone loves a deal that they can’t pass up.

XBIZ: Discuss your approach to keeping fans engaged when you’re not online.

Lee: I’d like to say that I’m very active on social media. I think it’s important to interact with your viewers even when you’re not livestreaming. Posting little pieces of your day-to-day life on networks like Twitter and Instagram gives your viewers something to look forward to and lets them get a sneak peak into your life.

I also make myself available to my biggest fans for texting, so they can reach me whenever they please. Building relationships with my fans is important to me and something I always strive towards. It makes them feel connected to you and it is so rewarding to see how relationships blossom over time.

XBIZ: Besides camming, what other revenue streams do you pursue?

Lee: As of right now, besides live streaming, I only have my OnlyFans page. I like to be able to fully immerse myself into a few things at a time and not feel like I’m being pulled in a thousand directions. Focusing on one or two things keeps the quality of my work higher and my stress level lower, and keeps me a happy performer.

Especially being a one-person show, it’s hard to do a lot of different platforms at once. It’s great in theory but there are only so many hours in the day. I plan to expand my business within the next few years and hire some help so I can explore other revenue opportunities.

XBIZ: What are a few of the most common requests you receive on cam?

Lee: One of the most requested things I get asked to do is a Hitachi torture show. It’s not as bad as it sounds. It’s where you have different tip amounts to have your fans control the different levels on your Hitachi or even turn it off right before you orgasm. It’s so interactive and entertaining for others to watch and participate in. I feel like my fans love to watch me squirm and pout after the fifth or sixth time of them stopping my toy. They love to see the sexual frustration on my face.

The other common request I get is doing private one-on-one shows. I don’t offer them very often; I like to focus most of my energy on public shows. But I do offer them for a certain pre-tip amount and usually schedule them in advance so I can truly dedicate my time to those who want me to themselves.

XBIZ: How might your fans describe the “Addi Lee” brand, based on your interactions?

Lee: When you look at my brand as a whole, I’d like to think I give them the ultimate online girlfriend experience. I’m sassy, silly and outgoing, which is everything someone would want to spend time with on a daily basis. My chatroom is a place where everyone can be themselves and escape to when they need a place to take a break from the stress of the outside world. I’d like to think that it is the same for me as it is for them. Sometimes people ask me if I’m the same online as I am in real life and yes, I am the same! I might be a little more reserved outside of cam but I always vibe with my brand. Being true to myself has worked out the best for me.

XBIZ: Tell us about a few of your biggest accomplishments in 2021.

Lee: Last year, I was able to go for rank on my streaming platform multiple times and was able to go above and beyond each time. 2021 was also my best year since I’ve been in the adult industry, so I’m very proud of that. Seeing how patience, hard work and dedication can get you where you want to be is so rewarding. I also had a few other opportunities come my way last year, but I can’t yet say what those are. Hopefully I will be able to announce soon, so stay tuned. Also, getting a lot of recognition this past year has been an amazing feeling when my career is such a passion of mine. It motivates me to do more and strive to be more.

XBIZ: Give us a glimpse of your dreams for 2022 and beyond?

Lee: I want to continue growing my brand as a cam model and as a performer overall. I want to build up my name! I’d love to get more into the business side of things in adult. I would also love to do more professional shoots, participate in more publications, get involved with magazine features and host an award show. These are a few of the goals I have for my career. I’d like to think I’m on the right track to make all of my dreams and ambitions a reality.
