WIA Profile: Tati Zavedii

Tati Zavedii has always had a passion for marketing. This led her to earn her bachelor’s degree in public relations/advertising, as well as a master’s degree in marketing, which she completed in Finland. After working in the luxury hospitality industry in Saint Petersburg, Zavedii joined the adult industry and the LiveUnicorns team.

“Opportunity knocked,” she says, “and I answered the door.”

All our features are created with input from our partners/ performers and our customers, so we will be adding new features that are designed to enhance the experience for both.

“The company is built around friends and a group of passionate people, who noticed an opportunity in the market,” she explains. “I was invited to join the project, and have always been fascinated by the adult industry, especially the live aspect of it.”

Now she is shepherding the platform and its talent into a future built upon innovation, given LiveUnicorns’ distinctive approach to the camming business: a blend of subscription- based access to streamers, one-hour live sex events featuring top stars and newcomers, a couples show series and more.

At the 2022 XBIZ Berlin conference, she and fellow team member Necula Ovidiu delivered a panel on their mission to usher in a new era of camming. Then, at the XBIZ Europa Awards, they saw their brand crowned Emerging Web Brand of the Year, celebrating LiveUnicorns’ fast rise within the industry.

As WIA's Woman of the Month, Zavediii opens up about her goals for LiveUnicorns, her business strategies and future ambitions.

XBIZ: Describe your role at LiveUnicorns.

ZAVEDII: In startups, you usually wear many hats. Since I joined, I’ve been in the marketing and performer community department. This is where I found a passion for production — content and show quality — and performer success, by working with models and creative talent.

XBIZ: What makes LiveUnicorns unique?

ZAVEDII: LiveUnicorns is a platform for performers, offering new technology to the market.

It has become such a well-oiled and beautiful machine thanks to our obsessive focus on putting the creators first — through benefits such as 90% payout and concierge assistance for performers, to name a few — and producing content for our consumers, such as featured shows and original series with top talent.

We love to provide shows and appearances by top-tier A-list talent as much as we love to showcase up-and-coming performers.

XBIZ: How do you approach recruiting and retaining models for the platform?

ZAVEDII: We hand-pick performers and have an evaluation process; we are selective. We see performers as our partners, and I believe this is what builds trust as well as long-term relationships. We’re invested in building this brand and seek performers who are willing to invest their time into building a brand with our support.

XBIZ: What new site features are coming soon or are currently in development?

ZAVEDII: I’m not able to disclose it yet. Definitely stay tuned, as we are really working on innovative features that will change not only the adult industry landscape, but the entertainment industry as a whole.

All our features are created with input from our partners/performers and our customers, so we will be adding new features that are designed to enhance the experience for both.

XBIZ: Discuss a successful business strategy or campaign you coordinated this year.

ZAVEDII: You may have heard about the original series we launched recently, called “Special Nights,” a one-hour show featuring top talent. This concept was created to bring an element of traditional porn to live camming and value to our subscribers. It was amazing to see it grow from an idea to launching and going live on our platform.

XBIZ: Tell us a bit about yourself when you’re not working. Any fun hobbies or interests?

ZAVEDII: I really like music and from time to time record DJ sets at home. You can actually find some of my work on SoundCloud. I also love strolling the city as I’m into architecture and aesthetics and always find something new to the eye. I love the gym as much as I love food!

XBIZ: What was it like having LiveUnicorns win at the 2022 XBIZ Europa Awards?

ZAVEDII: This was unbelievable; I had butterflies in my stomach. It felt so good and it’s during moments like this we can truly see that all the work our amazing team did is paying off.

XBIZ: Give us a glimpse of your long-term goals for LiveUnicorns.

ZAVEDII: My personal goal is to take the platform to the next level. I see the brand expanding and reaching new consumers and being the premier destination for subscription-based live cams content. Making performers and members happy is the ultimate goal!

How to Halt Hackers as Fraud Attacks Rise

For hackers, it’s often a game of trial and error. Bad actors will perform enumeration and account testing, repeating the same test on a system to look for vulnerabilities — and if you are not equipped with the proper tools, your merchant account could be the next target.

It's Time to Rock the Vote and Make Your Voice Heard

When I worked to defeat California’s Proposition 60 in 2016, our opposition campaign was outspent nearly 10 to 1. Nevertheless, our community came together and garnered enough support and awareness to defeat that harmful, misguided piece of proposed legislation — by more than a million votes.

Staying Compliant to Avoid the Takedown Shakedown

Dealing with complaints is an everyday part of doing business — and a crucial one, since not dealing with them properly can haunt your business in multiple ways. Account-to-Account Payments: The New Banking Disruptor?

So much of our industry relies upon Visa and Mastercard to support consumer payments — and with that reliance comes increased scrutiny by both brands. From a compliance perspective, the bar keeps getting raised until it feels like we end up spending half our time making sure we are compliant rather than growing our business.
