Why BDSM Furniture and Sex Machines Make an Ideal Match

Why BDSM Furniture and Sex Machines Make an Ideal Match

For BDSM enthusiasts and curious newbies alike, a big part of the fun is discovering and exploring exciting new sensations and scenarios. One way to level up is by combining or layering pleasures you already enjoy, and one surefire way to do that is with BDSM furniture — especially when combined with a sex machine.

Combining Kink and Convenience

Adding a sex machine to BDSM furniture pieces can introduce a completely new level of control and power exchange.

Incorporating BDSM furniture into the mix can enhance all kinds of experiences, whether your thing is D/s dynamics, puppy play, total power exchange or fantasy play. Best of all, gone are the days of permanent equipment, heavy cages and complicated setups. When it comes to modern BDSM furniture, we have a range of options that do not require an official dungeon or play space. Many of today’s restraint and sensory devices are movable, stowable and even portable, plus they’re compatible with other products and tools to add value and pleasure.

Items like a free-standing St. Andrew’s Cross or bondage table allow users to enjoy the powerful impact of these restraint systems without having to bolt something into the ceiling or have an entirely empty spare room to store them in. Furniture items like sex-positioning chairs, stools or pillows can be a part of existing furniture setups and can even be used for nonsexual activities. Other items, such as collapsible cages, aren’t so discreet, but they can be assembled and disassembled.

Pleasure Ex Machina

Adding a sex machine to any of the previously mentioned BDSM furniture pieces can introduce a completely new level of control and power exchange — though before we go any further, I should make sure everyone understands what I mean by “sex machine.”

This term “sex machine” refers to mechanical devices designed to replicate the experience of oral, vaginal or anal sex. They typically feature a moveable rod on which a dildo or stroker can be mounted, though not always. Often, the position of the penetrating rod can be adjusted to achieve the most advantageous angles.

These machines are suitable for use with a wide range of BDSM furniture types. Whether the receiver is completely immobilized or just role-playing, there are machines that are easily adjustable, giving users a lot of flexibility.

Built-In Pleasure

Shoppers looking to explore BDSM furniture and sex machines together need not devise their own combinations, since today there is also a bevy of BDSM furniture options that come with built-in sex machines. This takes all the guess work out of the process, as shoppers know for sure that the items will work together. Some of these sex machines are completely detachable from the positioning furniture, which allows them to be used separately as well, while BDSM furniture items designed for this purpose function effectively with or without their sex machines in place.

For the mildly kinky or for hardcore home dungeon enthusiasts, the pleasure potential and versatility of sex-machine-equipped BDSM furniture makes it well worth considering. With a wide range of options, how can you help shoppers zero in on the BDSM furniture/sex machine combination that will work best for them? A good first step is asking your shoppers intentional, open-ended questions:

1. What activities do they enjoy? Is there a specific type of furniture they are looking for?

This is the ideal first question because if they are already clear about what they want — say, a spanking bench — you can rule out everything else and get down to the sales pitch.

2. Will the item stay set up or does it need to be easily stored?

With any BDSM furniture shopping, there is always the question of how to incorporate it into existing living or play space. Are there housemates or family members who shouldn't know it’s there? Is space limited and storage essential? Or can they leave their purchase out in the open, for whenever it’s needed?

3. If they’re planning to use a sex machine in combination with furniture, how versatile or portable does it need to be?

Some people only plan on owning one piece of BDSM furniture; others have entire home dungeons. Some want sex machines they can also use as hand-held devices, while others prefer their sex machines hands-free. Figure out how versatile and “modular” their sex machine needs to be, and how many different pieces of furniture they wish to use it with.

Knowing the answers to those questions should go a long way toward recommending the right products for your shoppers, whether that winds up being a pre-paired furniture/sex machine set or simply quality items that work well together.

Sex machines can be fun and exciting additions to any home play space, especially when paired with BDSM furniture. With a little knowledge and patience, you can help match your shoppers with the gear that’s right for them!
