Disruptive Films Unfurls Taboo Sex Banner 'Deviants'

Disruptive Films is well known for its kinky and taboo storylines. Now, the studio looks to unfurl Deviants: a new brand that shows taboo sex in a different light, diverging from the often-grim tone of traditional kinky fare to present a new vision.

“We wanted to explore some turn-ons that are less featured on mainstream porn sites and see how they look in ‘real’ scenarios,” explains Gamma Entertainment Creative Director Jessica Jasmin. “Whether they’re taking place in that dark dungeon or another seedy location, kink scenes tend to have a lot of allusions to the kink being dirty or depraved. There’s a place for that in the industry, but we wanted to do something different. We wanted to show that there’s a place for ‘deviant’ behavior in healthy relationships, suburban households and everyday life.

We can proudly say that the performers’ experience on set is our top priority, followed by making sure that our viewers feel we’re pushing the envelope — but without crossing lines.

“Though the scenes are written and the participants are actors, they feel like what real people might experience and explore in relationships if they’re looking to spice it up in the bedroom or tap into some of their unspoken desires,” she adds.

This more day-to-day exploration of deviance will spotlight a variety of popular kinks. One upcoming scene directed by Michael Vegas and Siouxsie Q features ropes, for example.

“They have a vast background in kink content, but not necessarily with ropes,” Jasmin notes. “To ensure that the scene was authentic, they hired an expert to walk the models through the art. We’re committed to understanding the root of all of the kinks and showing them in a meaningful and genuine manner.”

The debut release for Deviants is a mirror-play scene titled “Narcissus.”

“For casting, we went with models who have a history of being great actors, and also prioritized people who would truly enjoy the kink and be turned on by performing it,” Jasmin teases.

When it comes to giving Deviants scenes a recognizable signature vibe, Jasmin says, much of the magic is gleaned from a consistent team for each production: writer, production crew and editors.

“We’ve found that keeping the team small allows for more communication and adherence to style guides,” she underlines.

Shedding more light on how the team behind Deviants is parlaying their past experiences into fulfilling creative ambitions, Jasmin adds that beyond Vegas and Q, they have enlisted the talents of Conrad Parker and Walden Woods.

“We’re confident all these talented directors can bring the concepts to life,” she affirms. “Our writer, Taylor Saracen, is serious about her work and conducts interviews, consumes content and does research to make sure she’s presenting the kinks with authenticity.”

Previewing a few upcoming scenes, Jasmin says that ropes and humiliation fetish will be the banner’s initial focus.

“All of those scenes are written and shot, and we’re really proud of how they turned out,” she says. “We’ll also be reorganizing some of our other content and giving it a home on Deviants.”

Given the intricacies of kinkier fare, Jasmin strives to ensure that consent and boundaries are carefully respected on Deviants productions.

“Compliance is of the utmost importance for us,” she emphasizes. “Not only do we put a huge emphasis on consent and doing porn professionally, we adhere to all compliance standards and expectations. We can proudly say that the performers’ experience on set is our top priority, followed by making sure that our viewers feel we’re pushing the envelope — but without crossing lines.”

To market Deviants, Jasmin plans to explore new advertising mediums to get the word out.

“We feel it is important to reach out to everyday people on platforms like podcasts, Reddit and TikTok,” she explains. “There truly are untapped audiences out there who are willing to pay for the convenience of accessible, high-quality porn, and up-and-coming audiences can appreciate our efforts to make adult entertainment erotic while also ethical and consensual. However, our challenge will be getting our message to them while still navigating the ever-expanding laws and restrictions impacting our industry.”

Looking toward the future, Jasmin is already hard at work on expanding the fledgling brand.

“We’re confident it will take off and we’re looking forward to making Deviants an integral part of Disruptive Films,” she says. “It will live within our sub-brands: Taboo Men and True Male.

“There are a lot of kinks to be explored,” Jasmin concludes. “Disruptive Films is designed for individuals with unique tastes, which are just as important as more conventional preferences — and Deviants fits just right. It is sure to please a significant number of our members.”
