WIA Profile: Samantha Beatrice

Before joining the industry, Samantha Beatrice worked her way up from the mailroom to the marketing department at a small business in Montreal. Her genuine love for hard work and learning drove her to return to school, studying marketing at Concordia University. Recognizing that the fast-paced nature of the digital marketing space requires continuous learning and adaptability, she has continuously worked to hone her skills over the years.

Beatrice credits the sex positivity of Montreal for ultimately inspiring her to pursue work in adult entertainment. She had many friends working in the industry, from sex workers to production teams, so it felt like a natural fit and offered an opportunity to apply her marketing and social media savvy to support people with whom she shares a genuine connection.

Working with various facets of the business — agents, producers, performers and marketing teams — has given me a comprehensive understanding of its inner workings. This insight has become invaluable when developing branding and social media strategies.

Now, with her company Living Lotus Consulting, she brings her knowledge to bear in helping clients achieve greater success, as she shares in this WIA Woman of the Month profile.

XBIZ: Tell us about Living Lotus Consulting and how it leverages your experience from the past 10 years.

BEATRICE: As my adult industry network grew and existing clients referred me to others, it felt like a natural progression to open my own business and secure my place in the field. Working with various facets of the business — agents, producers, performers and marketing teams — has given me a comprehensive understanding of its inner workings. This insight has become invaluable when developing branding and social media strategies.

XBIZ: On the talent side, how do you assist creators and agencies in maximizing revenue?

BEATRICE: I focus on building authentic personal brands and enhancing their online presence to foster lasting connections with fans. I help them optimize content and promotional efforts, resulting in increased visibility and revenue. A strategy I emphasize is diversifying income streams and leveraging new platforms to expand their reach.

XBIZ: How about with paysite clients?

BEATRICE: With paysite clients, I develop tailored strategies that turn their social media platforms into true traffic-driving sources. Analyzing the movement of users from social media to the website itself, while continuously refining post strategy and optimizing the website from a user perspective, helps to create sustained growth and convert traffic.

XBIZ: Discuss your more creative facets, which include collaborating on shoot concepts and designing promotional assets.

BEATRICE: Creativity fatigue can be a real challenge for clients, especially with the pressure to release content consistently to maintain engagement and conversions. I collaborate with clients to develop innovative shoot concepts that align with their brand and that can be utilized over time.

I often design promotional assets myself, but when my schedule is full, I tap into other designers and act as the project director. In all cases, my priority is ensuring that the promotional materials align with the brand identity.

XBIZ: How do you handle securing brand partnerships for your creator clients?

BEATRICE: It begins with identifying the spaces that the creator wants to exist in, such as toys, supplements, clothing, etc. From there, I facilitate introductions, negotiate terms and outline a social media strategy that gets both teams excited. My goal is to create long-lasting partnerships and enhance visibility for both parties.

XBIZ: What is your approach to marketing your own brand and services?

BEATRICE: I rely heavily on client satisfaction and ensuring each client feels prioritized. Their success and positive experiences have helped expand my client base, as they frequently introduce me to others whom they feel would benefit from my work. This means I don’t need to push my personal website live — although it’s on my list for the future — as I have had very steady growth from word of mouth.

XBIZ: How do you juggle such a diverse array of duties?

BEATRICE: Keeping myself organized is the priority, so I write a lot of lists — every morning, I lay out the needs of each client, and anything that isn’t addressed that day is moved to the top of the list for the next day. I thrive in this space because of the diversity of tasks and the new challenges they bring. It’s never boring and always keeps me on my toes.

XBIZ: What’s next for Living Lotus Consulting, this coming year and beyond?

BEATRICE: Looking ahead, my goal for Living Lotus Consulting is to expand our team so we can support a larger client base effectively. With additional staff, I aim to focus on higher-level strategic initiatives and implement a more analytical approach to guiding our clients’ strategies.

I plan to remain actively involved in industry events to expand my network, and to continue pursuing my passion: connecting my clients with other incredible people in this space. While building my clients’ brands has been my primary focus, I am also eager to prioritize the branding and visibility of Living Lotus as we continue to grow.

How to Halt Hackers as Fraud Attacks Rise

For hackers, it’s often a game of trial and error. Bad actors will perform enumeration and account testing, repeating the same test on a system to look for vulnerabilities — and if you are not equipped with the proper tools, your merchant account could be the next target.

Before founding VerifyMy, Ryan Shaw was simply looking for an age verification solution for his previous business. It's Time to Rock the Vote and Make Your Voice Heard

When I worked to defeat California’s Proposition 60 in 2016, our opposition campaign was outspent nearly 10 to 1. Nevertheless, our community came together and garnered enough support and awareness to defeat that harmful, misguided piece of proposed legislation — by more than a million votes.

Account-to-Account Payments: The New Banking Disruptor?

So much of our industry relies upon Visa and Mastercard to support consumer payments — and with that reliance comes increased scrutiny by both brands. From a compliance perspective, the bar keeps getting raised until it feels like we end up spending half our time making sure we are compliant rather than growing our business.
