Grey Desire Reigns as 2024 XBIZ MILF Streamer of the Year

Thanks to a strict religious upbringing, Grey Desire spent the first 18 years of her life following all the rules.

“I essentially never thought for myself,” she says.

When it comes to my brand vibe, I like to say I put the “hole” in “wholesome.”

That began to change when she left for college. She fell in love with autism education and went on to earn her master’s degree in the field — but after six years of higher education, living on her own and self-reflection, she allowed herself to acknowledge her desire for a somewhat different line of work. Ultimately, she determined that the best place for her was in front of a webcam.

Desire credits her partner for recognizing her passion for sex work and suggesting they make adult videos together. She says having a partner who allowed her the space and freedom to learn about herself, and who has supported her through it all, inspired her to begin streaming and creating content full-time.

She soon realized that she wanted to pursue it for real. Since then, she has felt hooked — though she still runs a fundraiser every Autism Acceptance Month and sends the donations she collects to the school where she used to work.

Now, having built a following, gained momentum and claimed the crown as MILF Streamer of the Year at the 2024 XBIZ Creator Awards, Grey Desire shares her journey as this month’s featured creator.

XBIZ: How have you evolved, career-wise and personally, since becoming a cam model?

DESIRE: I feel like I am constantly evolving as a result of my career. I started with a very amateur, girl-next-door kind of feel and have now evolved into a more professional style of content. It’s still very much amateur, but with improved equipment, knowledge and creativity involved. My personal evolution has happened live on cam. I began as an innocent and naive person, and now I have the pleasure of introducing others to all the kinks I learned along the way.

XBIZ: What is your brand, in a nutshell, as far as your overall vibe, style and personality?

DESIRE: When it comes to my brand vibe, I like to say I put the “hole” in “wholesome.” I create very sensual and romantic content — while doing some of the most dirty and naughty activities you can think of. The juxtaposition is my favorite! Another aspect I highlight in my brand is to have fun. Nothing too serious, as we are just here exploring and playing with our bodies.

XBIZ: Which platforms are you most active on, and how do you juggle everything?

DESIRE: I am most active on Chaturbate for camming, Pornhub and ManyVids for videos, and OnlyFans and Fansly for the interactive aspect. I am not always successful in juggling it all, but I try. The best things that have helped me are sticking to a consistent schedule and writing everything down. Once the schedule becomes routine, it is much easier to maintain. Also, as a visual person, with everything written down I can see what I have done and what still needs to be done. I constantly have to-do lists running for the day, the week and the month; they are key.

XBIZ: What’s your approach to social media marketing?

DESIRE: Social media marketing is so important. Unfortunately, it is also incredibly challenging, as adult content creators, to maintain our safe-for-work social media platforms and avoid bans. My thought process when it comes to social media marketing is to always “put yourself in the position to be lucky.” One post going viral can drastically change your career trajectory. While luck is difficult to achieve, being available on most social media platforms and posting regularly increases your chance of having luck at any given moment.

XBIZ: How do you maintain physical and mental health, given the rigors of this work?

DESIRE: Therapy is crucial to mental and physical health for me. I recently found Pineapple Support, which specifically offers therapy to people working in the adult industry. Regularly talking with my therapist allows me to process the specific career challenges I face, and processing those feelings gives me the space and energy to then maintain my physical health. I also include working out in the content I create. I post yoga videos frequently, so even when I don’t personally feel like working out, having to shoot a workout is the perfect motivator to get my body moving.

XBIZ: When you’re not working, what do you do during your down time to decompress? Any fun hobbies or passions?

DESIRE: As a real-life MILF, I have very little down time when I am not working. Most of my time and energy go toward raising my family. When I do happen to have time truly to myself, I enjoy doing calming and mindful activities. Typically, I practice yoga, read books by my favorite author, Thich Nhat Hanh, meditate or create some embroidery projects. When I really need to unwind, I have also been known to indulge my guilty pleasure and zone out to some reality dating shows.

XBIZ: What was it like being named MILF Streamer of the Year at the 2024 XBIZ Creator Awards?

DESIRE: Winning MILF Streamer of the Year was a completely surreal experience. It has been a career-long goal of mine to win an XBIZ Creator Award, and to reach it this early in my career is incredible. As a faceless creator, I did not fully believe it was possible to be an award winner. I feel honored to be able to prove that it is possible, for myself and other faceless creators. The category I won in is especially meaningful to me as well. Being a mom is a huge aspect of my life, and so is pursuing my career. It is easy to feel like I am not giving either aspect enough of my time and energy while doing both. Winning in the MILF category helps me feel like I am successfully giving both areas the energy they deserve!

XBIZ: Tell us your big goals for the coming year.

DESIRE: My ultimate goal was to win an XBIZ Creator Award so now that it has been achieved, it is time to do more self-reflection and determine new goals for myself and my career. I dream of one day reaching the incredible milestone of 500,000 followers on my primary camming site, Chaturbate. This year, I would like to make it to 250,000 followers and be halfway there.

I have maintained a weekly video cadence the entirety of my almost five-year-long career, so I want to keep that up by continuing to post a new video every single week over the next year. Long-term, I aim to have a catalog of over 500 videos by the time I reach 10 years in my career. I recently uploaded my 300th video, so I feel I am well on my way!

For hackers, it’s often a game of trial and error. Bad actors will perform enumeration and account testing, repeating the same test on a system to look for vulnerabilities — and if you are not equipped with the proper tools, your merchant account could be the next target.
