WIA Profile: Dawn Yagielowicz

What is your role and responsibility at your company?

My tasks include managing the ASACP membership application process, reviewing new applications and validating sites, plus providing customer service to members during and after the application process. I also monitor whether members use the correct linking codes and ASACP button, renew existing members, work with the compliance director and review the ASACP website to be certain that members are correctly listed — all while working with new sponsors to complete their sponsorship process. I also work on the ongoing development and noperation of my own sites, including Amateurs Guide and my personal amateur site, Ayrora.com, for which I continue to model. I also write exclusive articles for XBIZ World magazine and XBIZ.com, as well as original erotic stories for my website, all of which keep me pretty busy!

I'm a perfectionist and details are important

Give us a typical Monday at your desk.

I make a cup of coffee and check my email, then I solve any membership or sponsorship issues that have accumulated over the weekend. Throughout the day, I review new membership applications and add them to the ASACP database after approval, and help sponsors with any and all issues. I answer the phone and talk with potential clients, setting up appointments and making arrangements for upcoming events.

What do you think is your greatest challenge or asset being a woman in the adult industry?

Where do I start? I am continually challenged in just trying to keep up with what I do, who I am, and being a mother to three teenagers, but I wouldn't have it any other way. If I'm not busy then there's something wrong with me; even when I'm 85, I see myself making plans for the future. My greatest assets are my husband and partner and his supportive role in my constant efforts at improving myself; good genes, thanks to mom and dad; and that my computer and I both have a memory that works even though I still write everything down because I'm a perfectionist and details are important.

What strategies do you use to maintain balance in your life?

A few ways that I maintain balance is to get outside and dig around in my flower garden, cook comfort foods, sit outside late at night with a pot of hot sake by the fire pit and talk to Stephen. Or I go to my parent's ranch in the mountains and just sit out on their back porch and watch the dog chase the horses and wild turkeys all over their property.

Gregory Dorcel on Building Upon His Brand's Signature Legacy

“Whether reflected in the storyline or the cast or even the locations, the entertainment we deliver is based on fantasy,” he elaborates. “Our business is not, and never has been, reality. Understanding 'Indemnification' in Business Contracts

Clients frequently tell me that they didn’t understand — or sometimes, even read — certain portions of a contract because those sections appeared to be just “standard legalese.” They are referring, of course, to the specialized language used in legal documents, including contracts.
