Our Results From Sex.com

Editor's note: Recently, adult webmaster affiliate program MensNiche.com decided to put Sex.com's pay per click (PPC) traffic to the test, in hopes of helping its affiliates to decide if running campaigns at the popular search engine would help boost sales. Since traffic is the one thing that all websites need in order to thrive, I thought that you'd all be interested in the results of these tests:

After working with affiliates for over three years, we're constantly trying to find new ways to help them make more money with our programs.

Recently, we found that many of our affiliates were asking if Sex.com traffic could work with our products.

Instead of telling them to go ahead and give Sex.com a try, we decided it would be best for our affiliates financially if we tested the program first, so we decided to give its system a whirl and publish the results.

The Test
We deposited $1,000 into a Sex.com account in December 2004 and then contacted Michelle (michelle@sex.com) who took on the job of making our products convert and bring us a healthy return on our investment.

The products we used for the test were:

  • ProSolution Pills
  • Volume Pills
  • Penis-Health
  • SizeGenetics
  • Attract Sexy Women
  • Pro Enhance Patch
  • Kama Sutra

Below you will find a list of the Top 10 keywords for each website, our clicks and their cost to us:

The Results
Most of these campaigns had over 200 keywords which picked up small amounts of traffic. Here is a screenshot of MensNiche.com stats showing what an affiliate's payout would have been had he or she done this on their own. As you can see, the penis enlargement products performed the best by far, with ten sales for Penis-Health, nine sales for ProSolution Pills and six sales for ProEnhance.

In the end, with our $1000 and after a chargeback, we made $387.96. Keep in mind that this includes all of the money spent on other programs other than the Penis Enlargement (if we did this again we would only push Penis Enlargement as this did the best). If we invested all the money into penis enlargement, that figure would have doubled, which would have yielded about a 50 percent ($500) return on investment.

These clicks came in over a four month period. Obviously, this is by no means a quick job, so if you’re looking for a quick ROI then this is not the way. However, if you have some spare money you can afford to tie up for a few months, it can potentially give you a very healthy return on your investment.

I hope you can take something from our experience with Sex.com. If you have any questions, or if you would like the full list of keywords for your own campaigns, email andy@mensniche.com and I'll be happy to help you out.

It's Time to Rock the Vote and Make Your Voice Heard
