DatingGold’s AK Promoted to VP Sales, Marketing

STOCKTON, Calif. — DatingGold’s Alfonsus Kusuma, aka AK, has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing and will oversee the daily operations of business development, sales and marketing. The new role was effective April 1.

“AK is one of those people that you want on your team,” DatingGold CEO Allan Henning told XBIZ. “Not only does AK work extremely hard in striving for success, he also does it with a great attitude and smile on his face.”

AK also will supervise the company’s affiliate manager and media buyers, Henning said, and will continue to play a significant role in exploring new business opportunities and manage the launch of its white label solutions.

AK said he started at DatingGold in November 2006, where he used his affiliate management and sales experience gained in his eight-plus years of adult industry work to help build DatingGold with Henning, whom AK met while working at Video Secrets.

“I learned how to build great relationships with the people in our industry,” AK told XBIZ. “I learned that as long as you treat people the way you wanted to be treated, you can go a long way in this business.”

AK said he saw great potential in the dating and cams businesses, and after taking a brief industry hiatus in 2006, he kept in touch with Henning, who had previously expressed interest in helping him market a new webcam project, WebCamClub.

Now, AK said, WebCamClub.com and the company’s dating site, AmateurMatch.com, have formed a popular reputation among DatingGold affiliates, and AK will work with his eight-person marketing team to build the brands and allow Henning to focus on other aspects of the company.

”AK is very professional and has worked very hard to stand out as a leader in our company,” Henning said. “We are pleased to have AK as a VP of our company due to his strong work ethics and business acumen.”

Most recently, AK helped form a partnership with XBIZ Emerging Affiliate Program of the Year Award co-winner Triple 10 Vault and launch Triple10Cams. AK said the two companies have always respected each other, and it made sense for the two to work together.

“I think I bring team-player personality, professionalism, stability, knowledge and networking skills,” AK said, “and one thing that I am proud of is that I always put the company's best interest first.”

AK said DatingGold, which is celebrating its sixth anniversary this year, has some other strategic partnerships in the works, but can not reveal any details until the official announcements are made.

“I highly encourage our existing and prospective affiliates to keep us in mind, checking with us often on what we have to offer,” AK said. “We are relaunching our mainstream dating site, DateMatch.com, pretty soon and will be working on gay dating and cams sometimes in the third quarter of this year.”
