Australians Say Wearable Tech Boosts Their Sex Lives

SYDNEY — The study, The Human Cloud: Wearable Technology from Novelty to Productivity , found that Australians lead the way in their relationship with wearable technology, with one in five even claiming that it actually makes them better lovers.

The research says 35 per cent of Australians have used wearable technology, such as fitness monitors and smartwatches, compared with 18 per cent of people in Britain and America.

The survey results came been released on the eve of a new smartwatch battle, with Samsung and Sony set to release smartwatches onto the Australian market in the next few weeks.

The research, commissioned by cloud company Rackspace, queried 750 people nationally and found that Australians reported that in addition to believing that the devices improve their sex lives, one third of participants said that they make them more intelligent and two thirds said it made them fitter.

A quarter of the participants also said that wearable technology has helped advance their career.
