Briana Banks Claims Doc Johnson Made Unauthorized Molds

PITTSBURGH — Adult star Briana Banks has filed a federal lawsuit against Doc Johnson Enterprises, claiming the sex toy manufacturer struck a deal to use molds and reproductions of her genitals for two products, and then made 12 products out of the molds.

The Vivid contract star said she was paid $18,000 for the exclusive right to use the molds of her genitals for 10 years to make the products “Briana’s Vibrating Pussy and Ass” and “Briana’s Pocket Pussy.”

Banks said she gave Doc Johnson parent company Health Devices Corp. “exclusive, perpetual and worldwide right and license” to use her name, photograph and likeness only in connection with the sale of products created from the molds of her.

But, according to the suit filed at U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh, she claims the defendant went ahead and made 10 unauthorized products from the molds, including the Briana 3 Hole Doll, the Briana Harness, Briana’s Adventure Kit, Briana’s Blazing Anal Butt Plug Adult Toy, Briana’s Ten Inch Dong and others.

Banks, whose real name is Briana Bany, seeks more than $75,000 in damages for breach of contract, trademark violations, false endorsement and other charges. She also is seeking Doc Johnson profits, attorneys fees and treble damages.

In the complaint, Banks has asked a jury trial to decide the case.

Attorney Jeffrey F. Reina, who represents North Hollywood, Calif.-based Doc Johnson told XBIZ that Banks knew she had signed a deal for the sex toys "without limitation" when she sat down for the molds.

"This suit is a desperate attempt for her to get her name back in the news," Reina said.

Calls to Banks’ counsel, Brad Sommer, were not returned.
