The as-yet-untitled Roland Dane film marks a reunion between the director and Executive Producer John Rutherford, who directed Dane in “Out of Athens.”
“Roland and I have been close for more than seven years since we first met on the set of a Falcon International movie in Budapest,” Rutherford said. “Roland was hired as my translator and after sitting next to him for a few hours I quickly noted that he encompassed a lot more than just good looks and excellent translation abilities. The rest is history as they say.”
Dane’s first film for COLT under the Olympus label will tell the story of two American tourists traveling abroad, who encounter Europe’s dangerous underground sex scene.
Buckshot Men Danny Roddick and Alex Chandler star in the film.
“I have had nothing but the utmost respect for John and his team,” Dane said. “From our very first days in Budapest, to our shooting in the U.S., I have always taken note on John’s ability to effectively lead his team and his business successfully. I admire him and have always known we would be working together again.”
The film is scheduled for a December release.
