LOS ANGELES — As 4K video continues to make inroads, content producers are looking for ways to integrate the new technology into their existing workflows, with Pavtube coming to the rescue.
“It seems that we live in 4K time,” says a company rep. “We have more and more 4K offerings on the way such as 4K camcorders, 4K players, 4K smart phones and so on, [with] Sony a huge enthusiast keen on developing 4K camcorders.”
Part of this development includes the use of XAVC video, which according to Pavtube, although the new format provides amazing quality, users have found it difficult to handle the footage in Apple’s iMovie 11, with one workaround being to convert XAVC to the iMovie-friendly MOV format.
In addition to MOV, Pavtube’s XAVC video converter also converts XAVC footage to Apple ProRes, FLV, MPEG-2, H.264, H.265, Avid DNxHD, MP4, WMV and more, for playing or editing in QuickTime Player, FCP, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, Windows Movie Maker and more.
