ASACP Honors its Featured Sponsors for April

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of April, 2015.

“Honoring those adult content producers, marketers and industry service providers that have demonstrated a willingness to take an active role in protecting children online, ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program recognizes companies that set an example worth following,” says ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning. “Through the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website label, by following ASACP’s Code of Ethics, and market-specific Best Practices, along with other proactive, voluntary measures, the association’s Featured Sponsors uphold the highest ethical and business operational standards.”

Recognizing its Featured Sponsors for April, ASACP honors ATKingdom, Adam & Eve and GTBill for their generous support of the association and its fight to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment.

ATKingdom
A founding ASACP Title Sponsor whose sponsorship dates back to 2002, ATKingdom also supports the association through the efforts of company head Kim Nielsen, who sits on both ASACP’s Board of Directors, as well as on its adult industry-based Advisory Council, which helps the association remain relevant and abreast of those issues affecting today’s adult digital media publishers.

The company’s flagship website, ATKingdom.com, employs RTA labeling and an ASACP-recommended warning page that does not contain explicit imagery, among other methods of protecting children or unwilling viewers from inadvertent exposure to adult themed materials.

According to the company, ATKingdom.com features weekly amateur porn photos of girls between 18 and 23 years of age. Because of the young appearance of many models at this age, it is extremely important for a company such as ATK to uphold the highest ethics and most stringent business practices, to avoid even the suggestion of underage performers being part of its program. By following ASACP’s Best Practices and Code of Ethics, ATK is ahead of the game — and reinforcing its industry leadership through its continued support of ASACP.

Adam & Eve
One of the most well known names in adult entertainment today, Adam & Eve has supported ASACP as a Corporate Sponsor since 2002. As America’s leading adult toy company for more than 40 years, Adam & Eve has built up a reputation as a trusted and reliable merchant serving a wide range of customers: male or female, straight or gay and everywhere in between — as long as they are of legal age. The company further extends this proactive “adults only” philosophy to include access to its website — which it restricts through use of the RTA label, serving as another example of the company’s commitment to privacy and safety.

Because it is such a widely known brand, Adam & Eve is looked up to by both consumers and industry peers alike — and through its sponsorship of ASACP, Adam & Eve becomes an ever more worthy corporate role model and example of social responsibility.

GTBill
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2009, GTBill offers a safe and secure solution for credit card processing and global payment gateway services, with a focus on streamlining purchases across international borders. GTBill’s flexible payment solutions allow its clients to process credit cards, electronic checks, telephone orders and more.

While the company is a financial services organization and not involved in adult content sales other than to provide the transactional capabilities that adult entertainment companies require, GTBill still plays an important role in protecting children, through its sponsorship of ASACP and through its ongoing reviews of client sites.

“The advancement of the Internet has provided us entertainment, education, and even a few guilty pleasures,” explains GTBill’s Marketing Director A.J. Almeda. “It provides a certain level of freedom to enjoy what we please.”

“But as patrons, we need to do our part to protect children from content that may not be appropriate or digestible at younger ages,” Almeda adds. “GTBill is proud to be an ongoing sponsor of the ASACP.”

April’s Featured Sponsors, although diverse in their market segments, find common ground in their protection of children from age-inappropriate material, and in their support of ASACP — demonstrating corporate leadership through their proactive self-regulation — exemplifying the best of today’s digital media firms.
