Trashy Lingerie Revamps Mainstream Image

LOS ANGELES — Trashy Lingerie CEO Mary Loomis-Shrier and the family-run Trashy empire — including Trashy.com, Trashy Girls modeling and the L.A. storefront frequented by adult stars — were profiled in two mainstream publications.

The store's colorful lingerie is popular with adult models such as Courtney Cummz and Gianna Lynn.

Complete Woman and PlugLA magazines both feature Loomis-Shrier in their current issues, profiling her business ethic and her plans to expand the Trashy name across the country, taking the brand out of the closet and into the nightlife.

Loomis-Shrier told XBIZ that she's been discussing with her family — her father-in-law founded the company 32 years ago — about her plans to take the Trashy store out of the city of Angels and into Las Vegas, Miami and New York City.

At the moment, she said, the only way to get Trashy products is to either hop on a plane to L.A. or purchase it online.

Loomis-Shrier also said she plans to open a bar and a store in Las Vegas by 2009, in a new casino that she said cannot yet be named.

She said this is the first venture outside of the lingerie world that the Trashy business has undertaken, and that she looks forward to making Trashy into a bigger, more recognizable brand.
