WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Adult-biz notables Dylan James and Missy Martinez will join author Josh Sabarra at a signing for his memoir “Porn Again" later this month.
The signing is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 30, at 4:00 p.m., at Book Soup, in conjunction with Lambda LitFest Los Angeles. "Josh will lead a conversation about coming out and coming-of-age and will allow guests to participate in a lively and candid discussion that promises to answer everything you’ve ever wanted to ask about the porn industry and its impact on the evolution of human sexuality,” a rep said.
Copies of “Porn Again,” as well as Sabarra’s debut novel, “Enemies Closer,” and a limited-edition poster featuring the author with James and Martinez, will be available for purchase and signing.
In the memoir, Sabarra “throws open the proverbial closet – and bedroom – doors, taking readers on a Hollywood thrill-ride through growing up, coming out , coming-of-age and, finally, finding himself at 40,” a rep notes. “Despite being a high-level entertainment executive, Josh was still a virgin at 31… Movie studio jobs, through which he met celebrity idols, led to friendships and relationships with some of the industry’s most notable characters. Those intimacies created a false sense of acceptance and approval, requiring that he continue to up the stakes – celebrity lovers, the crazy world of online dating, sexual fetishists and porn stars-for-hire.”
Sabarra is “the gay best friend you always wanted (and) delivers a whip-smart, poignant memoir set against a glittering backdrop that is, at once, heartbreaking, glamorous, sexy and hilariously honest.”
