AdXpansion Closes, JuicyAds Acquires Technology Assets

VANCOUVER — JuicyAds has acquired select underlying technology and other assets following the closure and liquidation of AdXpansion.

AdXpansion, an advertising network launched in 2009, shuttered operations Aug. 1.

“It is a bit sad to see AdXpansion completely gone,” JuicyAds.com CEO Juicy Jay confided. “Even though all operations at AdXpansion are now ceased, we have acquired the most interesting parts of the technology and they are being implemented at JuicyAds and will be kept alive for years to come.”

A recent study showed that JuicyAds monetizes approximately 11 percent of the world’s adult advertising sites, according to data from Microsoft, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pennsylvania.

AdXpansion’s closure adds to the list of adult advertising networks that have closed in recent years.

Advertisers and publishers formerly with AdXpansion can move to JuicyAds here.
