BALI, Indonesia — Eva Oh, aka Mistress Eva, has penned an article for The Daily Beast detailing her at-home BDSM training course for fans and followers quarantined at home during the pandemic.
In the article, titled "A Dominatrix on the Surge in BDSM During Coronavirus," the pro Domme noted, "the world of BDSM, fetishes and power dynamics are a comfort for many in the best of times. So it isn’t surprising to see people moving toward websites and services such as mine in times where they seek even greater levels of reassurance, understanding and intimacy."
The custom-designed program, which Oh developed herself, is a gamified courseware-led space, with video tasks, badges and a points system "that translates to real-world benefits and experiences with me that have included a night at the opera, assisting me on photoshoots and accompanying me to fetish parties," she explained.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread, Oh admitted to feeling "an uneasy uncertainty" about her personal safety and the health of her family.
However, her genuine interest in BDSM and fetish began to "titillate and perhaps distract" during moments of stress and anxiety.
"Those who are new to me are spending a lot of time logged in to my BDSM training site, and the dedicated ways that they are completing their courses and tasks is endearing," she observed, "but among those who I’ve known for longer and on a deeper level, I see how their usual desires have acquired an added intensity, and their need for my support in the events of their lives is elevated."
"Their particular kinks — be it for latex, anal play or chastity — haven’t shifted but they’ve had to become more virtually administered," she concludes, "and I predict that 2021 is going to be quite an exhaustingly pleasurable year for us."
