LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has dropped its mandatory condom stance for its productions. The first release under the new policy, which is also the first since Wicked was acquired by Gamma Entertainment, is Axel Braun’s “Going in Raw.”
“Wicked Pictures is starting 2021 with a bang, and the sound of it is no more condoms,” said a rep. "The one-and-only porn company to be condom-mandatory since 2004 is entering a new era."
Braun, who is also the newly appointed Head of Production for Wicked Pictures, explained that “dropping the condoms was a logical move that will level the playing field."
Braun took a nine-month pandemic hiatus after his last project, “Stilettos,” and hasn’t shot without condoms since his chart-topping “Riley Goes Gonzo” in 2013.
“While the company’s focus remains committed to ensuring maximum safety on set, with strict protocols and the most rigorous testing requirements, being able to let performers express themselves freely without restrictions is a very liberating feeling, especially in times like these,” Braun added.
Braun also said he was “thrilled to be in charge of production for this amazing Wicked rebirth. I was lucky to have some of the top people in the industry come together for my first shoot since the acquisition — and of course the invaluable support of the incredible Gamma team — so I’m very grateful and super-excited for what lies ahead.”
