NEW YORK — Mistress Eva (aka Eva Oh) is a guest on this week’s "Red Cheeks" podcast for a discussion of BDSM, domination and consent.
Mistress Eva shared with the host about how she sets the tone and establishes boundaries with clients. “I kind of see it as a training period,” she explained. "There’s a conversation that’s always happening.”
She also discussed the difference between physical versus psychological punishment, crossing boundaries in corporal punishment, how she recruits "slaves," financial domination and how she practices self-care for her mental health in such an emotionally demanding profession.
"Living in Bali was my ‘off’ switch, but now, because I’ve been traveling, I need to make sure I keep doing what I enjoy and get what I need and keep reminding [myself] what those things are,” Eva said. “I have to be disciplined in terms of not letting people get out of the sphere of what I need them to be."
"I have a huge spectrum of personalities that are close to me, and I can work with them and they give me a lot of different material to work with, which keeps me entertained,” she continued. “I generally like to ask and get a good understanding of who my clients are so I can start to build my library of material of how I’m going to 'torture' them."
