LOS ANGELES — OnlyFans will continue to allow users to post sexually explicit material, an abrupt reversal of a plan announced just days ago, according to a Bloomberg report this morning.
That original decision prompted "an uproar from creators and sex workers who had come to rely on it as a source of income," Bloomberg wrote, and "was forced in part because of pressure from 'banking and payment services.'"
OnlyFans published the reversal in a tweet and noted an official statement to creators would shortly follow.
"We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change," the company said. "OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators."
Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard.
