X-Play Seals Distribution Deal with LFP

VAN NUYS, Calif. – X-Play announced a deal with Larry Flynt's VCA label for the debut of "Britney Rears: Wild Back Stage Sex Party," the company's fourth title release since launching in November.

After a successful appearance by the film's star Britney at Adult Entertainment Expo and recent mention on the Howard Stern radio show, "Britney Rears" will be distributed by VCA on its March 8 release date, company owner Jeff Mullen and partner Scott David announced.

The title features Britney and five of her friends having sex in limos, private Gulfstream jets, mansions and tour buses and will be released on DVD, followed by several video-on-demand deals in addition to a deal with Hustler TV.

X-Play's first release, "Pornstar Popstar," secured a broadcast deal with regional broadcaster in-Demand.

According to Mullen, the biggest draw for the yet-unreleased "Britney Rears" has been its soundtrack, which Mullen and a friend composed and recorded. LFP became interested in the project after hearing the R&B theme song, which will also be distributed to 150 radio stations nationwide and peer-to-peer music swapping services for additional branding purposes.

"All it takes is for them to talk about the project and pretty soon the word gets out," Mullen told XBiz, adding that following the debut of "Britney Rears," there will be 3-5 sequels produced.

Additional advertising for "Britney Rears" will be done jointly by VCA, X-Play and Mullen's media and marketing company All Media Play. Britney Rears will also make personal appearances at various national adult video stores.

“The fact that Britney is young, cute and having great sex sealed the deal,” said LFP's Licensing Director Chris Camacho.
