One of his pizza cooks, Mandy Blais, recently volunteered to be the model for the restaurant’s logo. The softcore image of Blais can be seen at the restaurant’s website.
“I just thought I'd give it a try. I didn't mind it. It's kind of up my alley, I guess,” Blais said. “I'm just the logo girl — I'm not particularly into the porn scene. I don't mind porn, but not with me in it.”
Little more than a month ago, Wildeman came up with the idea to put naughty photos in with the pizzas being delivered from his restaurant, Porno Pizza. When the story got picked up in the mainstream press, news of Wildeman’s idea quickly went global before the restaurant even had a website.
“It went all around the world, and I just keep trying to plow along,” Wildeman told XBIZ. “I haven’t had much time to quantify or assess how fast it’s going. I’m just trying to make hay while the sun shines.”
Wildeman has been contacted by 50 parties interested in opening franchises of Porno Pizza in the U.S., Brazil, Australia and London.
He has already expanded his lunch delivery service, which caters to mostly businesses in the Winnipeg area. He also has registered the restaurant’s name and plans to start opening franchises in Canada.
Several women and a few men have approached Wildeman about appearing in photos to be featured in the Porno Pizza boxes.
And though the original photos sent in the boxes were purchased from a content provider, Wildeman said that he is now looking to use local talent.
“It adds a little something extra. I think there’s something great about the chance that the person will go, ‘I know this girl’ or ‘I went to high school with her’ or ‘I met her the other night and she totally shot me down,’” he said. “And, using local models, they’ll be talking about it and encouraging their friends to see it — they might order a pizza with her under it.”
The photos come in the box protected by a see-through plastic covering, so that as each slice of pie disappears, the picture is revealed.
Eventually, Wildeman would like to see professional performers in his pizza boxes, but he’s waiting to grow his franchise before taking the concept to the next level.
“I think this could be a means of advertising for the adult industry into the hands of people who are into it, that like the adult industry and are hungry for more,” he said. “That’s a side of the business I’m really excited about developing.”
When Porno Pizza put up its single web page just a few weeks ago, it got 15,000 hits in the first 24 hours, with three-quarters of them coming from Germany.
Photos inside the box aren’t the only thing that’s racy at Porno Pizza. The menu features items like the “Missionary Position” (double pepperoni, double mushroom), the “Mr. Big” (all-meat toppings), the “Beaver” (a Canadian-style with ham, bacon, pepperoni and mushroom), the “Fuzzy Taco” (a Mexican-style pizza), the “Tossed Salad” (vegetarian) and the “Climax” (everything on it).
