Horizon Media Brings Brick-and-Mortar Stores Online

HARTFORD, Conn. — Horizon Media, parent company to the Penthouse Boutique and Luv Boutique, has launched its online stores, making the stores' inventories available to the online market for the first time.

Horizon President Dan Quinn told XBIZ that he had the plan in the works for some time, but wanted to be sure he had everything in order and done right before officially making the move.

"We've got a couple of things in the works," Quinn said. "We're looking to forge forward to get a piece of the pie of the Internet."

David, webmaster for the two online stores, told XBIZ that the sites went live last week, and an affiliate program, ranging from 10-30 percent commission, is set to debut next week. Interested webmasters can sign up using the websites' contact form, he said.

Horizon also has launched MyPlayZone.com, another online source for adult products.

David said that he designed the online stores to be very user-friendly, allowing customers to search for products according to price, studio and brand.

He said the stores currently stock DVDs from 10-12 studios, including Smash Pictures, Red Light District and Combat Zone, and the company is in talks with several others to bring in more content.

He also said that the online stores stock the same toys and novelties that are available in Horizon's brick-and-mortar stores.

"Everything is basically right there for the customer," David said. "The online stores are just a starter — we are making a huge jump online in every aspect."

David said to expect more online expansion from Horizon by the end of the year.
