WFTV reporter Greg Warmoth said Video News, an adult retail shop that was originally located in the strip mall itself, is currently being remodeled.
During the reconstruction phase, owner Nghia Q. Lee decided to move his inventory of adult DVDs into portable trailers in the parking lot and set up shop.
“We are over here just temporary and then we move back right away,” Nghia said.
In the same report, police official Bill Lutz said, “If we see a business that’s operating without a license in a zoning area that’s protected, then we move forward with charges.”
Despite being licensed to operate an adult business in the strip mall and clear signage preventing minors from entering the trailer, on Monday, code enforcement officials closed the Video News’ temporary shop when agents determined there was no permit to operate in a parking lot.
