Moniker Books $1.1M in January Sales

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Moniker disclosed over the weekend that it sold 60 domains at its January auction estimated at $1.1 million.

One of the largest sales was of SickSiteNetwork, a functioning business that included ConsumptionJunction.com, PornPimps.com and FreakHole.com. That sale went for $550,000.

Other sites of interest that sold at auction were MaturePorn.com, which went for $103,000, and AdultDVDs.com, which sold for $107,000. On the other end of the totem pole, Fluffers.org sold for $250, AnalTraining.com at $950 and HotNakedSheMales.net at $100.

More than 250 attended the auction at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas to bid on the adult-themed domains.

Final sales figures will be available after a concurrent online adult domain auction concludes on Friday. To view all the domains sold in the live auction, click here.

The Pompano Beach, Fla., registrar said it sold more than $20 million in adult-related domains in 2007. It is considered in the top 10 of all domain name registrars and sells various niche markets including adult, gambling, affiliate, webmasters and geo-targeted, among others.
