Paysites Join Rush to Deliver Content Over iPhone

CYBERSPACE — Here come the websites.

As soon as the tech media heralded Apple’s iPhone as the next great delivery platform for adult content, the iPhone-ready websites started coming.

One of the first iPhone-ready paysites to pop up on the radar is iRoticNet.com, which was featured on the mainstream tech blog Gizmodo.

The site features about 200 scenes in several different niches. Membership costs $9.99 and is rebilled monthly. Surfing the site is fairly easy, with a useful browse function and content cross-referenced by star.

In April, Playboy unveiled an iPhone-compatible version of its flagship website.

With a look that mimics the iPhone's general user interface, the iPhone-compatible version of Playboy.com presents the user with six icons that lead to features like "Ask Hef," "Miss Playboy Mobile" and "On The Scene."

Also included on the Playboy website are a nightlife advisor, a clone of HotOrNot.com called "Battle of the Sexiest" and an mp3-based version of Playboy Radio.

Digital Playground followed suit on July 14 with its own iPhone-optimized website.
