The New Synergy

Magazines aren’t dead. Quite the contrary according to a recent magazine industry ad that’s been running in a number of publications that boldly states that the Internet and social networking — the usual suspects blamed for the decrease in magazine readership – are in fact bolstering online subscriptions to the print editions, especially for the young-adult, 18-to-34 demographic.

Bright Future for E.U. online Processing

The more that American webmasters do business in Europe, the more they realize that Europe and the U.S. are two very different environments when it comes to payment methods for adult websites. Continental Europe and the British Isles have long been major producers and consumers of adult online content, but their payment preferences set them apart from American consumers—and the webmasters who are the most knowledgeable of European payment trends will be the ones who do the most business overseas.

Horizontal Mambo in the Summer of ’61

The very first time I was away from home for the entire summer was when I was 15 and working in the Catskill Mountains as a busboy at Kutsher’s Country Club in Monticello, N.Y. I would be gone from the familiar streets of the Bronx as the tar melted in the gutters and the schoolyard chums cooled themselves off by making water showers from the fire hydrants. The heat and humidity made the city sweat. This is what I’d be missing, but I would be embarking on what would turn out to be an eventful summer. Certainly, the most eventful to date.

Company Profile: Metro Has a New Look

When Metro opened its doors 40 years ago, there was no Internet. In fact, there was no video. If customers wanted to see models move, they had to purchase Super-8 film, invest in a projector and a collapsible screen, and watch in a darkened room.

Director's Chair: David Lord

Born in the Inland Empire, David Lord moved with his family to the San Fernando Valley when he was 12. From then until he was 18, it was life in the Valley but quite unlike like “That 70s Show.” There were, well, issues – broken home, divorced parents, teen angst fueled by playing in rock bands. Today, however, Lord’s father and stepmother are great friends with his mother. “They hang out together,” Lord says, “which I find very cool. I’d say it’s an unusual family, sure, but they’re mine and I love ‘em.” That settles that.

It’s Time to Cover Your Assets

Coming from the mainstream insurance industry to the adult insurance industry I have found that, as most who are reading this article have found, insurance companies don’t seem to want to write insurance policies covering adult video production, video-on-demand companies, toy manufactures, etc., and there really doesn’t seem to be a good reason other than lack of effort on the agent’s side.

Traffic Buying Evolves

Gay Dollars Make Sense - Toys for Boys

“We’re here, we’re a formidable market segment, get used to it.” Doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as smoothly as its hyper-political inspiration, perhaps, but with manufacturers in the adult novelty industry, it wields more power than an automatic weapon. As well it should.
